Equality is not Enough

UK has made great progress but more needs to be done

We also need to overcome prejudiced attitudes

It is high time that all forms of discrimination were tackled in a uniform, coherent way

Campaigning for equality is short-sighted and inadequate. Queer emancipation involves much more than equal rights.

Lesbian and gay freedom involves more than mere equal rights. Rejecting a simplistic law reform agenda, queer politics celebrates sexual difference, opposes both assimilationism and separatism, seeks social transformation, and affirms that everyone is potentially queer.
